Once a week, usually on Monday night, we try to set aside some time to unplug and do something together as a family.  We try to keep it simple with either a quick lesson or game but we always try and have a treat of some kind.  During the summer I try and keep the treats easy and cold.  It’s just too hot to try and bake when it’s over 100 degrees outside.  Ice cream is always a good idea, but instead of just serving it right out of the carton I thought it would be fun to make some fruity ice cream floats, with a twist!Fruity ice cream floats for a fun family summertime treat #IceCreamHero #cbias - lizoncall.com

When I was Albertson’s looking for a fun family night treat, I headed to the ice cream sections and zoned in on the DREYER’s GRAND Ice cream section.  I picked up some Lip Smackin Strawberry and Dreamin of Orange Cream to create our fruity ice cream floats.

My son loved the strawberry lemonade float and my daughter had the orange pineapple float.  I’m surprised my some picked the pink drink! 🙂Fruity ice cream floats for a fun family summertime treat

My number 1 tip for making the perfect ice cream float is to make sure all your soda/juice is COLD.
