Well I actually pulled it off!!
This handsome boy turned 4, and had one fantastic Goldfish Party!
see where I gathered my inspiration here
It all started out with these invitations I made up.
I have to say that I was so pre occupied with all the party details,
that I almost forgot to send out the invitations! 🙂
Ooopps!
I have to say that I was so pre occupied with all the party details,
that I almost forgot to send out the invitations! 🙂
Ooopps!
But don’t you worry!
I did get them mailed out to the kids
and they all showed up ready to party!

and they all showed up ready to party!
Here are some detailed pictures of the party.
My first {ever} attempt at cake pops!
Turned out pretty good for a beginner.
Remember my Fish Centerpiece Tutorial?
I made up some candy “Fish Kabobs” to put on display.
When I saw these little jars at Ikea, perfect goldfish bowl!
For food we had:
Goldfish Crackers
Jelly Fish Sandwiches
Fish Food Pellets (blueberries/melon balls)
Fish Kabobs
Underwater Jello
Rainbow Fish Ice Cream Cups
Goldfish Bowl Cake Pops
Ocean Water (blue hawaiian punch)
The kids all got to take home a bucket of goodies as a thank you for coming to the party.
The kids all got to color a goldfish “sun catcher” and take it home with them.
After all the work I put into those cake pops,
my kids were the only kids that ate them.
The other kids I don’t think knew what they were.
One lick and they were done.
The parents liked that they got to take them home though!
It turned out to be a great little party.
When I was setting up for the party the night before,
Mr. C (who was super excited about his party) couldn’t sleep.
So he came out to the kitchen and when he saw things all put out and starting to come together, he looked at me and said, “this is my best birthday party ever”!
Now that is what makes it all worth while.
We sure love having this little boy in our family.
He has selective hearing, teases his sister
and sometimes has a hard time sharing.
BUT,
he says please and thank you,
puts his dishes in the sink when he’s done eating,
likes helping with chores,
kisses his sisters owies,
holds my hand when crossing the street,
and says some of the funniest things!
And may I add…
the cutest kid I know!
Now it’s on to the next party plan.
Little Miss is turning 2!
I’ve got something super fun in store for her.
Hopefully I will remember to send out the invitations on time! 😉

Aww! I love this so much. I saw the pic of the fish bowls on pinterest and had to stop by and ask what’s in them? Is that a little candy goldfish? We’re planning my son’s fourth (nemo themed — I didn’t get a say. Ha!) and that would be perfect. Thanks!

Cute! I’ve been bookmarking all the goldfish parties I’ve seen around online because my baby turns 1 next week & I’m hoping to get some inspiration. Love the cake pops, but my last fail tells me I won’t be trying that one again soon. Great job!

What an adorable party! It looks like your son really enjoyed it. I love your cake pops. They turned out really well for your first time. I’ve had so many practice rounds and I still don’t know if I could get them to look like fish bowls. Very creative!
