Welcome Back!  It’s
TASTY TUESDAY
time again and today I’m sharing a baking recipe!
Chocolate Chunk Pecan Banana Bread

I don’t know what it has been with me, but it always seemed that when I made banana bread (in the past) it would never turn out.  I don’t know what I was doing wrong, but it was never all that great.

But when I made this recipe, (after years of avoiding making banana bread), it turned out FAB!

I had some bananas sitting on my counter and they were very ripe.  I opened up an old family cookbook to find a banana bread recipe to make.  I found 2 different recipes that were similar, but had a few different ingredients in each.  Of course I was missing one ingredient from each recipe, so I combined the 2 recipes together and came up with this recipe.

One of my neighbors has a pecan tree, so she gives me bags full of pecans all the time.
I’m not complaining because I love pecans and walnuts make my mouth itchy.
I also had this bag of chocolate chunks in the freezer.
I found them on clearance at the grocery store!
So I decided to add these to the recipe.
I baked up the loaves and they turned out PERFECT!  I shared some with the neighbors and they were big fans too!
In fact, I decided to make this and was short 1 egg, so I called the neighbors to see if I could borrow an egg.  I told them I would return the egg, but it wouldn’t look like an egg anymore!  They said I could borrow an egg anytime. 🙂
 Here is the recipe:

I’m no longer afraid to make up some banana bread.
I hope it turns out for you too!
Have a great week!!
